Last month’s webinar showed users how to use Clique Hunter – but the recording was not very satisfactory. Therefore I have put together this Using Clique Hunter presentation.

If you like this layout, let us know and we will look at using this method to develop other tutorials along similar lines.

(ADDED: Part 2 is now here)

It was a great test, but I’m not a fan of this format. It’s creative, but I somewhat expected sound to play along with it, which didn’t happen. I also couldn’t zoom in and get a clear view of the graphs. They must be optimized images, so when they get zoomed into, they pixelize heavily.

Just a regular article with thumbnail images that can be clicked and enlarged would be my preference.

    Thanks Debbie and Hi Michael,

Static articles with images are fine, but people do seem to want a more visually stimulating way to learn, so I am hoping others like this format

I am working on adding sound. It seems possible, but at the moment I have not worked out how to play a sound clip (actually a FLV clip) whilst visually focussing on something that isn’t just the FLV file. In terms of the graphs etc, you can put the presentation on full screen.

I very much like the presentation style, with or without sound. In particular I favor the brisk, clear style of the underlying pages.

Added sound does comfort some viewers. In my experience (I’m a professional videographer), web voice-overs are often not concise and needlessly extend the viewing time without adding much information.

The commenter above does offer a useful suggestion that I agree with: beautiful as the underlying pages are, some of the type does not render clearly even when zoomed in. Perhaps an increased font size, higher-quality JPEG compression, or the use of PNG format would make the needed improvement.

Nevertheless, this is a well done tutorial.

Thanks. I have now put up Part 2 at http://blog.majesticseo.com/training/clique-hunter-part-2-advanced/ and will get sound on to it just as soon as I can.

I blame Paint for any bad images. I need to work on something a little more sophisticated for that.
