Positionly was created in 2012 as a response to the complicated SEO solutions which were available on the market. Positionly was built with  simplicity and clarity since the beginning. Its founders wanted to provide sophisticated SEO tools that would be easy to understand, even for  non-technical people.

The Co-founder and CEO of Positionly, Greg Kazulak, states: “Our aim is to democratize the SEO world and make optimizing websites more accessible for everyone who wants to grow their business in the online world.”

Positionly offers an array of accurate and useful tools that help with teaching you how to improve your SEO results as well as planning better inbound marketing activities. To name a few:

Rank Tracker

We track keyword rankings in the most popular search engines, such as: Google, Bing, Yahoo and Yandex. Thanks to a simple dashboard it’s easier to  manage even large number of phrases and analyze their performance. Also, Positionly has an integration with Google Analytics which makes monitoring a website’s traffic alongside your rank data completely painless.

Competitor Analysis

Positionly does a great job when it comes to spying on your competitors’ keyword rankings. We help with evaluating the distance which divides your website from other brands in your  industry. The tool enables you to analyze your competitor’s performance for a single keyword or group of keywords on a single graph.

Inbound Links Checker

Thanks to an amazing partnership with Majestic, Positionly is able to provide users with accurate and reliable backlinks data. Customers can analyze their inbound links in terms of quality and quantity. The provided data is invaluable in building a healthy backlink profile and making off-page SEO techniques more effective.

Website Optimization Grader

This tool helps in improving on-page factors. It scans each web page individually and detects small to much bigger issues that can affect your indexing, which, in return, can make or break your overall SEO performance.

im seo master at [a site] and in my opinion no programme has ever really helped greatly, a few useful tools here and there but what is needed is something that can literally do the work of analytics, webmaster tools, seomoz and all the social platform programmes combined

As I agree, I also do believe that no single tool will ever do everything we need, no matter if we pay for it or not. Therefore, there is no other way than that we combine several tools together… in a way we need and seems fit. Even if it is time consuming.

That said, I realy would love it if Majestic would also analysis backlinks based on the anchor text – that is, providing a means of percentage for: Exact Match Anchors, Partitial Match/LSI Anchors, Branded Links, Naked links and Generic Anchors. It would help a lot to be able to optimize a given link profile based on those criteria.

I think my own list is big for what I want. I have no clue what Majestic is working on, but I do NOT see too much going on.. although, some of the tools from the labs are promising! Hope we are going to get more from them.
