Did you know that today is Star Wars Day – and not just any annual Star Wars Day either. The starwars.com site has a “May the Fourth” subdomain with a daunting countdown clock, claiming that “all will be revealed” in less than an hour!
Whilst eagerly waiting this momentous moment we’ve decided to kill some time by checking whether our indexing system was fast enough to detect this new maythe4th.starwars.com subdomain – which appears to have been picked up by the press about a week ago (you can see the date of 30th April 2011 listed in Wikipedia history of edits).
In order to test our system we’ve build an Advanced Report for subdomain maythe4th.starwars.com and here are the charts that it produced:
We’ve detected first links on April the 30th, and have seen a steady rise since. May the 4th be with you – it sure is with us! 🙂

lol, I didn’t get the big deal about “May the Fourth” until I saw “be with you” in your last line 😀 It’s pretty cool that your db is getting so fast at detecting changes on the web, especially with the Yahoo announcement mentioned in your other post. Keep up the good work.
