This year we have worked hard to develop a range of innovative products and thought we would recap some of the main ideas should it help others. The collective list below also supported our application and entry for the UK Search awards which we were thrilled to have won last Thursday (26th November 2015). Over the last year we were also humbled by being nominated for the Information is Beautiful awards and winning the Innovation in SEO award at the US Search Awards.
Majestic Landscapes
Every website has it’s own DNA. This year at Majestic we decided to bring that into the real world by creating Majestic Landscapes. Majestic Landscapes are 3D printed models of site link profiles which allows our users to fully understand how the web is knitted together. Every link profile is made up of thousands of links and each link has its own Flow Metrics. A hill starts to form every time we see two links of the same value, the stronger links are seen in the foothills whilst the worthless links are seen at the top of the landscape. Below you can see Google.com’s 3D printed model which was sent off to John Mueller, who is a Webmaster Trends Analyst at Google.

How Influential Is Your Twitter Account?
Over the summer, we built our own app for Twitter so that Android users can use Majestic within Twitter. We felt that a lot of Twitter users determined influence by how many followers an account has. We disagree, it is incredibly easy to manipulate numbers on Twitter by using different tools. For example, if someone in the SEO industry has over 100k followers, it is not a guarantee that person is an influencer. The Majestic Twitter app allows you to view how influential someone is and what particular topic they are influential in.
We are in the process of bringing this app over to iOS but in the meantime, if you are an Android user, follow the instructions here to download the app!
Labs.Majestic
This particular innovation was commented on by the UK Search Awards judges as “outstanding” and “something new”. Labs.Majestic is a range of innovative products which allows you to use Majestic data in a more advanced way. Want to race your website against your competitors? Our car racing game uses Majestic data to power your car. Your cars acceleration and handling is determined by your websites Flow Metrics. If that doesn’t interest you, what about viewing the web as the universe? Sites such as Google, Facebook and Twitter are at the centre of the universe whilst sites with less referring domains are less visible.
